  • WHY DO I NEED THIS TEST?

    For Consumers:

    The 7 Panel Rapid Drug Screen (Urine) is recommended for consumers seeking a drug test for personal knowledge or employment purposes.  It is also recommended for consumers who are concerned about suspected abuse or misuse of any of the listed drugs by a friend or family member, including teenagers.

    For Employers and Staffing Agencies:

    The 7 Panel Rapid Drug Screen (Urine) is recommended for employers looking for a basic workplace drug testing panel.  Action should never be taken against an employee or prospective employee based solely on rapid drug screening results.  Review of all confirmed positive test results by a Medical Review Officer (MRO) is highly recommended.  MRO services may incur an additional cost.  Consult with UWP for pricing.

    WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE?

    Drink 8-12 oz. of fluid 30 minutes prior to the test.

    IS IT SAFE TO TAKE THIS TEST IF I AM PREGNANT?

    Yes.

    WILL CERTAIN FOODS/DRINKS MAKE THE TEST APPEAR POSITIVE?

    No.

    DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

    Yes.  You can call in to discuss your appointment  for same-day testing.  We make it easy by offering work-friendly store hours. (After hour appointment is available by calling to see if the location / staff is available.  Onsite appointments will need to be pre-scheduled.

    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY RESULTS?

    Rapid drug screen results are ready to be read by a technician in as little as 5 minutes.  Negative reports are available the same day the test is conducted.   Allow 3-5 business days for confirmation testing to be completed, if necessary.

    WHAT IF MY RAPID DRUG SCREEN IS PRESUMPTIVELY POSITIVE FOR A DRUG CLASS?

    Additional confirmation testing of presumptively positive results can be conducted by an independent toxicology laboratory.  Note that additional charges for each drug class to be confirmed will apply.  Consult with UWP for pricing.

    WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY RESULTS?

    Drug test results always belong strictly to the donor, except in the case of a minor child or an employer or court-ordered drug test.  The donor may also provide written authorization for test results to be provided to one or more third parties, if necessary.

    IS A DOCTOR’S ORDER REQUIRED?

    No.  Drug testing does not require a doctor’s order to be performed.

    Drug testing results should be discussed with your primary care physician.
